These organisations offer support if you are struggling financially, with loneliness or your mental health, we have listed some sources of help below.

The Samaritans Whatever you're going through, you can call any time, from any phone for FREE 116 123.

Childline If you're a child and in a situation where you may be experiencing domestic abuse, Childline can offer some advice or support via their free, 24-hour confidential helpline for children and young people who need to talk. Phone: 0800 1111

The National Domestic Abuse Helpline The 24 hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge is for women experiencing domestic abuse, their family, friends and others calling on their behalf. Phone: 0808 2000 247

Citizens Advice Service provides information on benefits, employment and housing and help on debt, credit and legal issues. 03444 111 444

Turn2us is a national charity that helps people in financial hardship gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services. Phone: 0808 802 2000 (Mon-Fri 9am-8pm)

The Trussell Trust works with local communities to run foodbanks that provide three days' emergency food and support to people in crisis. Phone: 0808 208 2138 (open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm)

Food Aid Far Cotton supports vulnerable families in our local community of Far Cotton, Northampton by providing ambient food, fresh fruit & vegetables, eggs and bread. Open Thursday 23 and 30 December at St Mary's Church Far Cotton 07943 054874 admin@foodaidfarcotton.co.uk

National Debtline offers free, impartial, debt advice. Phone: 0808 808 4000 (Mon-Fri 9am- 8pm Sat 9am-1pm)

Step Change helps people in financial difficulty by providing free, confidential, independent and realistic debt advice. Helpline: 0800 138 1111

Crisis works with single homeless people and delivers services including education, employment, housing and well-being services addressing individual needs. Phone on 0300 636 1967 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)

Shelter helps people struggling with bad housing or homelessness, via their website, helpline and face to face services. Phone: 0808 800 4444
